INDO - NORWEGIAN ENVIRONMENT PROGRAMME [INEP]

The Indo- Norwegian Environment Programme commenced in Karnataka in 1997. The programme addresses individual environmental projects taken up by the government and non-government agencies. All INEP projects in Karnataka promote technically, financially and sustainable solutions. The Department of Ecology and Environment, Government of Karnataka is the nodal agency for implementation of the programme in the State.

 

The objectives of the programme are

1. To contribute towards sustainable use and management of natural resources

2. To combat and reduce air, soil, water pollution

3. To enhance and promote management knowledge in the environment field

4. To develop and promote technically sound and feasible solutions
